Ørsted A/S has submitted its environmental impact assessment (EIS) for the proposed 1.5 GW Skane Havsvindpark offshore wind farm project located in Sweden’s Baltic Sea region.
The project will be built about 22 km off the coast of Scania County. It will be installed in a 450 sq km area and can generate enough power for the consumption of up to 700,000 homes, covering half of the current electricity needs of the region. The project's site has favorable conditions for wind power, and the application for grid connection was made many years ago.
