Orsted has opened the 28.8 MW Lisheen 3 wind project in Ireland. The wind park is located next to the company's existing wind farms - Lisheen 1 and 2. Together, the three phases have the ability to generate 89 MW of green energy, making it the largest wind farm operated by Orsted in Ireland. The park will be used to produce renewable energy under a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement with Meta.

All of the power generated by the Lisheen 3 wind farm will be supplied to Ireland's national grid, with Meta purchasing the equivalent amount of renewable energy generated. This is part of a commitment by the technology giant to using 100% renewable energy for its operations worldwide.

With the opening of the Lisheen 3 wind farm, Orsted has demonstrated its ability to deliver large-scale renewable energy projects that meet the needs of major corporate clients. The park will help to reduce carbon emissions and promote the use of sustainable energy in Ireland, further contributing to the country's goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.
