Opdenergy has started the construction works of the 104 MW Sol de Los Andes solar photovoltaic plant located 15 kilometers from Diego de Almagro, in the Atacama region, Chile.
This project represents an investment of US$90 million and will be composed of 239,580 PV modules.
This project has optimal conditions for the use of solar energy, which, along with a complete engineering process, will allow the park to operate with optimal levels of efficiency. The construction of this project, which will generate more than 340 jobs in the region, while fulfilling rigorous sanitary protocols, is progressing according to the schedule after having received a large part of the materials at the plant. Furthermore, Sol de Los Andes will generate 50% of the energy committed by the company through the contract awarded in the “Supply Bidding for Customers subject to Price Regulation 2015/01”.
