OPDEnergy has concluded a financing value of US$103 million for its two renewable assets projects in Chile.
Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) has granted the financing to Opdenergy. The funds obtained will be used for the construction of the La Estrella Wind Farm, located in the Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins Region, and the Sol de los Andes Photovoltaic Solar Park, in the Atacama Region.
The La Estrella Wind Farm will have 50 MW of installed capacity. The facility, which is being built by OHL Industrial, will have 11 wind turbines supplied by Siemens Gamesa. It is scheduled to come into operation at the end of 2020.
The Sol de los Andes photovoltaic park, the other project covered by the financing, has an installed capacity of 104.3 MWp. Opdenergy is also acting as the EPC Contractor for the project.
The international law firms Milbank, Barros & Errázuriz, Cuatrecasas and Carey & Cía., participated as legal advisers to the operation.
