The Norwegian government enterprise Enova has awarded NOK148 million (US$14.85 million) grant to Everfuel and Greenstat, the developers of the 20 MW electrolyzer project in Kristiansand, Norway.
The Hydrogen Hub Agde project will be constructed at the Elkem Fiskaa industrial compound near the harbor. Everfuel and Greenstat are partnering with industrial companies Elkem ASA and Glencore Nikkelverk for the contruction of the project.
The electrolyzer project aims to provide renewable fuel to the shipping industry. The commercial operation of the plant is targeted for Q4 2024.
