French developer and energy producer Neoen is set to build a 500 MW/1,000 MWh battery storage facility located in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia.
Neoen has submitted a planning proposal for the project that would involve about AUD400 million (US$309.94 million) of investment. The project will be built in the suburban area of Wallerawang, west of Sydney. It is envisioned to support the services and supply of the energy dispatched to the National Electricity Market
The project is set to be commissioned by 2023.
