The Independent Planning Commission of New South Wales has granted conditional development approval for the proposed solar project with an integrated battery storage system in the region of Riverina.
The Jindera Solar Farm will have a generating capacity of 120 MWac/150 MWdc. It will be integrated into a 30 MW/60 MWh battery energy storage system. The project will be built on about 327 hectares of land and it can generate up to 275,000 MWh of energy per year. Once operational, the project will be connected to the grid through the TransGrid Jindera 330/132 kV substation.
The project is proposed by Jindera Solar Farm Pty Ltd, a partnership of Hanwha Energy Corp and Green Switch Australia.
