Naturgy Energy Group SA has secured a license and a construction permit for the development of the 42 MW Picato onshore wind farm in Lugo province in the northern region of Galicia in Spain.
The EUR33.9 million (US$37.2 million) project will consist of 13 units of Vestas turbines, three machines with 3.0 MW capacity and 10 units of 3.3 MW. Once operational, the project is expected to generate up to 144,835 MWh per year.
Naturgy has also secured the right to connect the Picato wind farm to the grid.
