The Government of Extremadura in Spain has started the processing of the permits for the four solar photovoltaic projects that will be developed in the region.
Enel Green Power, a unit of Endesa, plans to construct the 45.895 MW Apicio solar photovoltaic project in the Badajoz province. The facility will consist of about 146,970 modules mounted on 1,633 horizontal trackers.
Israel-based Ellomay Capital Ltd has filed for a permit to develop the 26.62 MW solar PV project in Caceres with an estimated investment of about EUR12.1 million (US$13.4 million).
The Spanish engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor Solaer Group have submitted plans for the 49.99 MWp Almaraz I and the 29.99 MWp Almaraz II solar PV projects in Caceres. The projects are promoted by Energias Renovables Jungla Verde SL and Fotovoltaica Varadero SL.
