Naturgy has begun the construction of Miraflores, its first photovoltaic solar power plant located in Extremadura, Spain, specifically in the town of Castuera (Badajoz). The plant will be a 22 MWp power facility.
The Miraflores photovoltaic plant will produce around 47 GWh per year, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of more than 13,500 homes. This new infrastructure will make it possible to displace the use of other sources of conventional electricity generation and will contribute to reducing around 30,000 tons of CO2 per year, in addition to other polluting emissions.
