The energy regulatory agency of Montenegro has awarded a 10-year energy production license for the operator of the 46 MW Mozura wind project, Mozura Wind Park Podgorica.
The regulatory agency has also suspended the procedure for awarding the status of a privileged power producer to wind farm operators at the request of the company.
The wind farm has entered into an operational phase in November 2019. It is developed in the municipality of Ulcinj and can generate up to 120 GWh of energy per year.
The project is owned by International Renewable Energy Development Limited, a joint venture company incorporated by Enemalta and Shanghai Electric in 2015, which holds 70% in the wind farm, while the remaining 30% is controlled by Guernsey-based Vestigo Clean Energy I Limited and Hong Kong-based Envision Energy International Limited.
