MET Group has completed the construction and started the commercial operation of two solar photovoltaic projects - MET Gerjen Solar Park and MET Söjtör Solar Park, located in two Hungarian municipalities.

The solar parks are connected to the grid through newly installed high-voltage substations. The commissioning of MET Gerjen Solar Park (51 MWp) and MET Söjtör Solar Park (45 MWp) took place over several phases. The two plants will generate enough green electricity to cover the consumption of around 50,000 homes.

The two projects cover an area of 170 hectares altogether in the two Hungarian municipalities, where almost 180.000 solar panels have been installed. The completion of the projects was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
