Maxeon Solar Technologies, through its subsidiary Sunpower Philippines Manufacturing Ltd., has announced a US$900 million solar energy investment plan in the Philippines.
As part of this investment, Maxeon Sunpower has already started expanding its research and development facility in Cavite. Sunpower first established its presence in the Philippines in 2003 with the opening of its first factory at Laguna Technopark in Biñan City. Currently, the company has seven projects in Biñan spanning manufacturing, IT, and logistics.
Maxeon is a global leader in solar technology, known for its SunPower brand in markets throughout the world, including the US, Canada, and Japan.
