Filinvest-Engie Renewable Energy Enterprise Inc. (FREE) has partnered with medical solutions firm Merasenko Corp. to develop a solar project in Cebu City, Philippines, that aims to reduce carbon emissions. The companies are expected to develop a rooftop solar system that will become operational in Q1 of 2024. The system will help reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 3,500 tons during the 20-year contract period, equivalent to approximately 15,000 gasoline-powered cars being taken off the road.
Merasenko Corp. has also signed a memorandum of understanding with FREE to facilitate renewable energy projects by conducting energy audits and feasibility studies. In addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, this partnership will help Merasenko Corp. balance its organization's growth, profit, and sustainability goals by exploring sustainable energy research.
FREE is a joint venture between Filinvest Development Corp. and ENGIE Services Philippines. As an organization committed to developing sustainable energy solutions to help mitigate climate change, FREE recognizes the importance of partnering with like-minded organizations to achieve sustainability goals. The partnership with Merasenko Corp. is just one of the many initiatives implemented by FREE to support a sustainable future.
