ADNOC and Masdar have entered into an agreement with BP Plc for the sale of stakes in the 60 MW Hygreen Teesside hydrogen project in North Yorkshire, UK.
The UAE-based ADNOC will acquire a 25% interest in the project while Abu Dhabi´s Masdar has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to acquire an unspecified stake in the hydrogen plant.
The Teesside hydrogen plant is planning to commence operation by 2025. The 60 MW first phase will be upgraded eventually to reach up to 500 MWe by 2030.
