Mainstream has completed the Grid Code Tests for its 110 MW Perdekraal East wind project near Ceres, in the Witzenberg Municipality, Western Cape, South Africa.
The project features 48 turbines and meets the performance requirements to safely and securely feed the national energy system. The project produces about 368,800 GWh annually. It is expected to be operational before the end of 2020.
The 110 MW Perdekraal East Wind Farm has been developed and will be operated by Mainstream for its Africa joint venture, Lekela Power.
