Lisarb Energy has entered the wind market by signing a 97 MW renewable power purchase agreement (PPA) with Tradener Ltda, one of the largest energy trading companies in Brazil.
The company develops the 97 MW onshore wind farm in Rio Grande do Norte. The wind farm will be commissioned in the summer of 2023 and will deliver energy for the PPA from early 2024. Over the 12-year contract, the project will produce around 4.4 TWh, preventing the release of an estimated 180,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually.
Lisarb Energy will invest BRL244.4 million (US$42.53 million) to deliver the wind project. The 12-year PPA is valued at BRL864 million (US$147.93 million).
