Lightsource bp has announced to build of a 400 MWdc Gundary solar photovoltaic farm with battery storage project located about 13 km south of Goulburn, in New South Wales, Australia.
The Gundary Solar Farm is currently at the site design and community consultation phase of development, with community information sessions scheduled for the end of April and May 2022. The project required an investment of about AUD540 million (US$400.43 million). It is expected to generate up to 800,000 MWh annually - enough to supply the demand consumption of 133,000 homes.
The Gundary Solar Farm is one of five solar projects of Lightsource bp that are under development in NSW and part of the 2 GW portfolio to be established in Australia by the mid-2020s. Meanwhile, the 214 MW Woolooga solar farm is under construction in Queensland.
