Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) has started sending power to the grid from its 115 MW Metz solar project located in the New England region of New South Wales.
The project is currently at the start of the commissioning process. FRV is testing all its inverters before ramping up through the various hold point tests defined by the Australian Energy Mark Operator. Once operational, the project is expected to generate over 320,000 MWh per year.
The Metz solar project will operate under a power purchase agreement with Snowy Hydro and is expected to reach full production before the end of 2022.
