Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) has started the commercial operation of the 115 MW Metz solar photovoltaic (PV) project located in the Northern Tablelands region of New South Wales, Australia.
The project has secured a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Snowy Hydro in 2018 as part of the Snowy Hydro Renewable Energy Procurement Program. The solar farm is constructed on about 248 ha of land in the rural area near Hillgrove. It can generate enough power for the consumption of about 300,000 MWh of energy per year.
