The Energy Market Authority (EMA) and JTC have awarded Keppel Infrastructure a grant to pilot the first membrane-based nearshore floating solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Singapore.
Ocean Sun and Keppel have signed a Technology License Agreement for the 1.5 MWp floating PV system at Jurong Island. The pilot project will consist of three circular platforms. These platforms are protected by a high-density polyethylene pipe structure to maintain the stability of the system.
The project is planned to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023.
