Sembcorp to build 200 MWh of battery storage at Jurong Island

Sembcorp Utilities, a subsidiary of Singapore's Sembcorp Industries Ltd, has been selected to build, own and operate 200 MW/200 MWh of battery energy storage system on Jurong Island in Singapore.

The contract was awarded by Singapore Energy Market Authority (EMA). The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
