JUWI GmbH, owned by MVV Energie AG, has signed a license agreement with the Schloss Herdringen Cultural Foundation for the development of the planned 262.5 MW wind project in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
The facility is planned for construction at about 1,500 hectares of forest land between Moehnesee in Soest district, and Arnsberg in Hochsauerland district. The project will have up to 35 turbines of 7.5 MW each capacity. Over a 20-year period, the two municipalities will receive a municipal tax of EUR0.002 (US$0.00221) per kWh.
The completion of the project is planned for late 2028.
