Singapore's Energy Market Authority and Singaporean state-owned JTC have jointly launched a Jurong Island Renewable Energy Request for Proposals (RFP) to accelerate the development of clean energy innovations for implementation on the island.
The RFP is open to the industry including small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the research community. The projects will be funded by a US$6 million joint commitment by EMA and JTC, with support from Enterprise Singapore (ESG). The funds will be used to support prototyping and demonstration of their solutions on Jurong Island over the next two years. The RFP is focused on advancing clean energy technologies to reduce carbon emissions in three areas:
