Japan Renewable Energy (JRE) has completed the development of the 44 MW solar photovoltaic farm in the Fukushima Prefecture, Japan.
The 44 MW Nishinosato Solar Park is located in the Nishigo village and consists of 251,520 solar panels. The project is developed in partnership with local companies Fukushima Mirai and Shinobuyama Fukushima Power Co Ltd under a joint venture company, GK Nishinosato Solar Park.
The solar PV project can generate enough energy for the consumption of up to 13,200 households. The energy produced will be sold to Japanese utility Tohoku Electric Power Co Inc under a power purchase agreement (PPA).
