Finnish energy company Ilmatar Energy has started the commercial operation of its 25.8 MW Voimamylly wind farm located in Humppila–Urjala, on the border of Pirkanmaa and Satakunta, Western Finland.
The facility consists of six wind turbines that are designed to generate about 60 GWh of clean and renewable energy each year, enough for the consumption of up to 5,000 homes.
Ilmatar's total onshore wind power and solar power capacity in development, under construction, and in production is currently more than 8 GW in Finland, and in the Nordic countries, its wind and solar power projects total more than 20 GW when offshore wind power projects are counted in.
