Iberdrola has started the commercial operation of the 50.5 MW Korytnica II wind farm project located in the Mazowieckie region, northeast of Warsaw in Poland.
The project, consisting of 14 Vestas V126 wind turbines, with hub heights of 132 meters and 3.6MW unit capacities, is expected to enter full operation by Q1 2023. Several changes are implemented in the design and construction of the project including the improvement of soil conditions in some of the foundations and the stabilization of access roads with soil cement to avoid the transportation of scarce gravel from hundreds of kilometers away.
With the commissioning of Korytnica II wind farm, Iberdrola has increased its wind capacity in Poland to 163 MW.
