Greenalia has announced that its subsidiary Greenalia Solar Power has closed the acquisition of five photovoltaic projects located in Spain, which have a combined capacity of 230 MW. Four of these projects have a nominal power of 50 MW, and the remaining one 30 MW.
This acquisition was made through the absorption of five legal entities which each own one photovoltaic project, maintaining each project in a subsidiary entity 100% owned by Greenalia Solar Power S.L.
Three of the projects, with 130 MW combined capacity, are located in the Extremadura region in western Spain. The other two projects are located in Andalucía, in the south. All are currently in development.
This operation, the company's first with this type of technology, will allow Greenalia to continue with its strategy of expansion and promotion of new renewable energy developments. Its current portfolio includes biomass (thermal and electric), wind and photovoltaic.
