Goldwind Australia, unit of Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Tech Co Ltd, has announced that 21 MW Moorabool wind park is connected to the grid and produced its first power.
The Moorabool Wind Farm features 104 wind turbines, divided into two sections, The North with 50 and the South with 54 units of turbines. Located near the city of Ballarat, in Victoria, Australia. The project is expected to produce enough electricity for around 228,000 local homes per year.
The Northern section has been completed last June, while The Southern section is under construction and expected to be operation by the end of the year 2020.
In July 2016, Goldwind Australia has acquired the Moorabool project from WestWind Energy.
