Goldwind Australia, the subsidiary of Chinese wind turbine maker Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Tech Co Ltd, has been awarded a contract for the supply of wind turbines for the Biala Wind Farm project in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales.
The wind farm, owned by Beijing Jingneng Clean Energy Holding Pty Ltd (BJCE Australia), will consist of 31 units of GW140/3.57MW Goldwind wind turbines at 356 feet hub height and 108.5 megawatts installed capacity.
Goldwind will provide turbine supply and installation services to the project, as well as long term Operations and Maintenance during the operations period.
The wind park is planned to become operational in the first quarter of 2020.
