Global Renewable Power III secures investment from Swansea and North East Scotland Pension Funds

The City and County of Swansea Pension Fund and North East Scotland Pension Fund have invested in the Global Renewable Power III (GRP III), a renewable energy fund launched by BlackRock.

The City and County of Swansea Pension Fund is part of Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). It has invested about US$240 million in GRP III fund. 

GRP III seeks to invest in global renewable power projects that has attractive risk-adjusted returns with a low correlation to the economic cycle. The fund is the third vintage of BlackRock’s global renewable power fund series.
