SSE Generation Limited (SSEG) has filed an application with the Scottish Government for the planning permission to be granted to construct and operate Cloiche Wind Farm; a new onshore wind farm to generate renewable electricity from wind power. The consent is sought for a period of 50 years.
The proposed development is located on Glendoe and Garrogie Estates, adjacent to the operational 66-turbine Stronelairg Wind Farm and the 100 Megawatt (MW) Glendoe Hydroelectric Scheme. The proposed wind farm is located in the Highlands, approximately 11 kilometers to the south-east of Fort Augustus.
