Glennmont Partners has acquired a 47 MW onshore wind portfolio in Sweden from Eolus and Mirova. This is the first investment from the open-ended EUR700 million (US$769.8 million) brownfield European renewable infrastructure fund, which was created last year with MN.
The acquisition comprises the 19.8 MW Langmarken wind farm in Kristinehamn and the 27.6 MW Vasberget wind farm in Ljusdal. Both wind farms have been online since 2017 and provide Statkraft with a flexible, multi-option PPA offtake framework through 2032.
This is the company's second investment in the Nordics, following their recent forays into the US and South Korean industries.
