Genex has finalised the acquisition of 50 MW Jemalong solar project (JSP). The facility is located near Forbes, in central-west region of New South Wales, Australia. The plant is expected to break ground half of 2019.
Thesolar plant is expected to produce electricity in 2020. It got Generator Performance Standard approval from Australian Electricity Market Operator (AEMO). It also got a firm Offer to Connect from Essential Energy.
Genex plans to reach financial close for the project soon. The company also plans to complete the refinancing of the 50 MW Kidston stage 1 solar project which is currently in operation towards the middle of the year. The transactions are expected to be closed along with the National Australia Bank.
