New South Wales approves the 165 MW solar PV project in Australia

After more than 25 public objections that were raised for the project were resolved, the New South Wales approves the 165 MW solar PV project in Gunnedah, being developed by Photon Energy.

The facility is to be installed in a 203 hectares of land and is expected to generate 293,000 GWh of clean, renewable energy per annum for close to 49,000 households with CO2 savings of 236,302 tons.

The project cost is estimated at A$200 million or US$141 million.

The company expects to start construction in the 4th quarter of 2019.
