The 150 MW AC Suntop and 110 MW AC Gunnedah solar farms developed by Canadian Solar are now operational and produce renewable electricity in New South Wales (NSW), Australia.
The Suntop Solar Farm in Wellington and the Gunnedah Solar Farm, west of Tamworth, are expected to provide a combined 392,000 MWh of renewable energy per year, enough to power 63,000 Australian households for a year.
Both solar farms are backed by long-term offtake agreements with Amazon.
Maoneng has secured a grid-connection assessment approval from the Australian Energy Market Operator to connect the standalone 240MWp / 480MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
