The renewable energy unit of General Electric, GE Renewable Energy, has been awarded by SB Energy to supply wind turbines to the 327 MW Pritam Nagar wind project in India.
SB Energy, the renewable energy arm of SoftBank Corp., has secured the development of the project from the wind auction launched by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
The project will be developed in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It will consist of 121 2.7-132 GE wind turbines that can generate enough energy for the consumption of up to 250,000 homes.
