The RattanIndia Group and the Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) has entered into an agreement for the sale of up to 306 MW solar portfolio in India for a deal of about INR16.7 billion (US$227.9 million).
The solar portfolio consists of ground-mounted projects of 297 MW combined capacity including 50 MW in Pavagada in Karnataka and 70 MW in Bhadla, Rajasthan, and rooftop photovoltaic (PV) installations in ten cities with generating capacities of 9 MW.
The projects have an existing 25-year power purchase deal with the NTPC and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
