Fotowatio Renewable Ventures Australia (FRV Australia), has partnered with Genesis Energy, to develop the 52 MW Lauriston solar photovoltaic project located in Christchurch, New Zealand.
The project will be constructed on about 93 hectares of land and is expected to generate enough power for up to 9,800 homes once operational.
The construction of the solar farm is expected to start before the end of 2023 with the target commissioning by 2024. FRV is a Spanish firm that is based in Madrid. The company is part of Abdul Latif Jameel Energy and OMERS.
