Vestas has secured a contract to deliver wind turbines for the 43 MW Kaiwera Downs Wind Farm project in New Zealand. The scheme will be comprised of ten Vestas' V136-4.2 MW wind turbines operating at 4.3 MW each. The facility will have the capacity to generate enough energy to power 20,000 homes or 66,000 electric vehicles (EVs)
The wind turbines are anticipated to be delivered in Q2 of 2023, with commissioning beginning in Q3.
Mercury and Vestas have inked a 30-year service and maintenance agreement.
