European Commission approves acquisition of Slievecallan East and Ballyhoura wind farm projects by MUFG, AIP Holdings

The European Commission has approved the acquisition proposal of Japan's Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance Co Ltd and Arjun Alliance UK 2 LP to the two wind farms owned by Brookfield Renewable Partners LP in Ireland. 

The deal struck by Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance Co Ltd and Arjun Alliance UK 2 LP, a unit of AIP Holdings, will cover the takeover of Ballyhoura Wind Ltd, operator of the 19 MW Ballyhoura wind farm in County Clark, and CCWFL Ltd, operator of the 27.5 MW Slievecallan wind farm in County Clare. The projects will be transferred to a special purpose vehicle AAUK2 MUL HoldCo, jointly owned by Mitsubishi and Arjun Alliance.

The two wind projects have been in operation since 2018.
