Coillte and SSE Plc are considering to jointly develop a 72 MW wind project located in Gortyrahilly town, in Cork county, Ireland.
The project is expected to cost about EUR80 million (US$93.86 million). The project would have 12 wind turbines spread over about 710 hectares of land area. The final capacity of the project is expected to reach up to 72 MW; it will depend on the final number of turbines during the development.
The developers are in talks with An Bord Pleanala, a government planning agency, to qualify the project as part of a Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID) program.
