Amazon secures PPA from Ardderroo wind project in County Galway

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) of the Amazon.com Inc has secured a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the developers of the 115-MW Ardderroo wind project located in County Galway in Ireland. 

Amazon will purchase energy to power its data centers in the area. 

The wind farm will consist of up to 27 wind turbines and is expected to be operational by 2022.
