Brookfield Renewable Power Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brookfield Asset Management and holds a 50.01% share in Brookfield Renewable Power Fund. It is the subsidiary in which Brookfield Asset Management holds all of its renewable energy assets, whereas the Fund's scope is limited to the 1,652MW of generation capacity located in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, and New England.
It is a globally recognized leader in the renewable energy sector, operating one of the world's largest publicly traded, pure-play renewable power platforms. The company owns and operates renewable power assets across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, with a diverse portfolio that includes hydroelectric, wind, solar, and storage facilities. Brookfield Renewable is part of Brookfield Asset Management, a global alternative asset manager with over US$650 billion in assets under management.
