Equitix Investment Management has agreed to acquire the firmus energy regulated gas network in Northern Ireland from iCON Infrastructure.
firmus energy, established in 2005, owns and operates a fast-growing, modern, regulated natural gas distribution network in the major towns and cities outside of Greater Belfast in Northern Ireland. The company supplies about 50,000 customers in greater Belfast and a further 40,000 in areas outside the city.
The deal is expected to close by mid-February 2019.
iCON was advised on the sale by Macquarie Capital and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. DC Advisory and Allen & Overy were advisors for Equitix.
