MEAG has acquired the 75% combined interest in the 260 MW Stor-Skälsjön onshore wind project in Sweden from Eolus Vind AB and Hydro REIN.
In April 2022, Eolus and Hydro REIN entered a deal to sell their 51% and 24% respective stakes in the project for a total transaction value of EUR361.4 million (US$390.83 million). Hydro REIN will retain the remaining 25% of the wind farm.
The Stor-Skälsjön project is located in Sundsvall and Timra municipalities in Sweden and consists of 42 SG 6.6-170 turbines. Eulos will provide asset management services for a period of 15 years once the project is commissioned.
