Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP) and RWE Renewables have started the commercial operation of the 475 MW Nysäter Wind project in Sweden.
The Nysäter Wind, the construction of which began in 2018, is majority-owned by EIP funds. The project consists of 114 turbines with a combined annual electricity output of about 1.7 TWh, the equivalent of powering over 300,000 Swedish homes, making it the largest onshore wind farm in Europe.
The project also involves a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with a blue-chip energy company for 15 years.
