Ardian has started the commercial operation of the 286 MW Andberg wind farm located in Härjedalen, Sweden.
The project features 53 turbines that can generate about 800 GWh of green energy per year, an equivalent of powering up to 160,000 households, allowing to avoid 156 thousand tonnes of CO2 emissions. Ardian has also equipped the wind farm with an end-to-end renewable energy monitoring online platform that permits monitoring technical and market risk.
In 2019, Ardian has acquired the development rights of the project from OX2. OX2 and its subcontractors have undertaken the construction works which were completed in the spring of 2022. Furthermore, the project entered into a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Skellefteå Kraft in October 2019.
