EolMed Partners, formed by BW Ideol, Qair, and TotalEnergies SE, have selected Bourbon Subsea Services to deliver the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation services (EPCI) contract for the 30 MW EolMed floating wind pilot project in France.
The pilot wind farm is located in the Mediterranean Sea approximately 18 km off the coast of Gruissan in the Aude region. Bourbon Subsea Services will be responsible for the complete offshore installation that includes the detailed design, procurement, and fabrication of the floating electrical hub, inter-array cables, anchoring, and mooring systems.
The construction of the project is expected to be completed by mid-2024.
