ENGIE Energía Chile has obtained the Declaration in Commercial Operation (COD) from the National Electrical Coordinator for the 114 MWac Tamaya solar photovoltaic project located in the province of Tocopilla, Chile.
The Tamaya solar project has 298,980 photovoltaic panels and will inject renewable energy into the system, benefiting more than 50,000 homes in the city of Tocopilla. It is expected to avoid the emission of 210,100 tons of CO2 annually.
